Activedit 2.5 Documentation - Installation

Installation with Installer (Win32 only) - The Activedit Installer provides a simple way to set up Activedit.
- Step 1 - Unzip to a temporary directory.
- Step 2 - Run Setup.exe
- Step 3 - Select your custom tags directory.
- Step 4 - Select your Web Server root. Activedit will make a directory under the root called activedit where it will install all the included files.
- Step 5 - Select Which options you want to install.
- Step 6 - Click Install.
Installation Without Installer (all platforms)
- Step 1 - Create a directory under the web server root called activedit.
- Step 2 - Unzip to the activedit directory you created in step 1.
- Step 3 - Copy activedit.cfm to your ColdFusion Custom Tags Directory.
What if I don't have Access to my Server's Custom Tags Directory?

You can still use cold fusion custom tags if you don't have access to your server's Custom Tags directory. Just put a copy of activedit.cfm in every directory that you wish to place a file that will invoke <CF_ACTIVEDIT>
